Accommodation
Orchard House and Lodore offer a range of single rooms and shared rooms. We encourage Residents to bring some personal effects with them to make it feel more like home.
We prioritise your choices, independence, and your dignity, and we take pride in our ability to accommodate couples with differing levels of dependency.
Domestic
We do all our residents’ laundry in-house. Our dedicated housekeeping staff ensure that the homes are kept clean, tidy and odour free at all times. The friendly and welcoming environment throughout the premises has been highly commented on by many visitors.
Catering
We recognize mealtimes to be an important part of the residents’ day and their social life. We also believe that a good dining room experience can enhance the resident’s quality of life. Homemade delicious fresh food, traditional English breakfast, well nourished and balanced meals served by professional staff in nice and enjoyable surroundings is what a good dining room experience is all about, and that is exactly what we provide here in Orchard House and Lodore. If our Residents are well enough we encourage them to eat together in the dining room.
Our menus are regularly reviewed to suit residents’ tastes. Should any resident wish to order anything other than from the menus this can also be catered for. Teas and coffees are served with cakes or biscuits as per residents’ wishes, and fresh fruit is available throughout the day. We also cater for special occasions, i.e. birthday parties, special events etc. The Chefs visits all of our residents on a regular basis for feedback and changes to the menus are made accordingly.
Garden
Our beautiful back garden has been a fantastic area for our residents’ outdoor pursuits and our residents enjoy the fresh air with their families and friends, and some enjoy pottering and gardening themselves on warm and sunny days. We hold a Summer Party with music and entertainment in the Summer.
